America’s Boating Club of Clearwater, Florida is a proud part of the local community. We teach boating courses, perform civic services such as vessel examinations and Cooperative Charting, and participate in boating and social activities.

Typical Month
Membership is not about sitting in meetings. It’s about getting out on the water with people who share your passion.
In a typical month, you might attend a weeknight education seminar on marine weather, join a Saturday group cruise to Caladesi Island, drop in on a social gathering at the clubhouse, or volunteer as a safety examiner at a local marina.
Some months are busier than others, and there’s no pressure to attend everything. Members stay connected through email updates and our calendar, and they show up when it works for them. The point is, there’s always something happening on or near the water.

Not at all. Members range from brand new boaters who haven’t yet purchased a boat to captains with decades of experience. Everyone is welcome and our community is built on helping each other learn.
Merit Marks are awards given by United States Power Squadrons for completing educational courses and participating in club activities. They recognize your commitment to boating education and leadership.
Yes, absolutely. Many of our members join before purchasing a boat to learn and connect with the community. Taking courses before buying a boat is an excellent way to make an informed purchase decision.
